Are legislators barking up the wrong tree when they think supplements are to blame for teenage eating disorders?

State legislation would limit the sale of weight-management supplements to teenagers, ostensibly to address the problem of eating disorders. The Council for Responsible Nutrition commissioned two studies: one looked at the safety of six of the most popular weight-loss supplement ingredients.
